If you live in an area that’s at risk of succumbing to an earthquake, then you need to make sure you prepare your home. Here are a few tips to keep in mind.

  1. Secure your hot water heater so that it doesn’t move and break in an earthquake.
  2. Anchor down cabinets and loose décor.
  3. Reconsider hanging glass frames on the wall.
  4. If you smell gas, shut the gas off.
